Who we are & what we do
The Grand County Blues Society brings world-class Blues and Roots music to the Colorado High Country through intimate live performances, a renowned three-day mountain blues festival, and year-round community programming. We support blues education in local schools, partner with libraries to expand access to music, and use our program Blue Star Connection to place musical instruments into the hands of children facing life threatening illness.

John founded GCBS in 2002 and later created Blue Star Connection and Check Out the Music. He passed away in 2017. His vision still shapes this work.
